Although I hate the word "surreal" Maggie Taylor's work seems surreal and victorian. I love it. I don't know what I would do with it if I had it. I just love to look at it. It is somewhat disturbing and familiar at once. Her work looks like old pictures of my grandparents that Tim Burton got a hold of. Her "Almost Alice" series is especially....special.
