I have come across a new show, "Pulling" on the Sundance Channel that isn't so much a must watch on the day that it originally airs but part of the weekend queue. Keep in mind this is a British dramatic comedy so what is acceptable dialogue and activity in the U.K. wouldn't fly on network television here - children beware.
My friend and I rate shows by what activities you can perform while watching shows. There are shows that you sit down and look directly at the t.v. to watch, there are shows that you open mail to, iron to, wash dishes to, etc. I would say that this is a show you can casually read a magazine to or after 10 p.m. watch without an accompanied activity. (But not a minute before 10 p.m.)
There are a few things this show has illuminated for me:
-British women are overly adventurous with hair color
-It doesn't rain all the time in England.
-Apparently it is acceptable to smoke while cooking (you don' t see that on t.v. here) without out fear of a ash clump dropping into the soup pot.
-British men are overly adventurous with their haircuts
-That putting together mis-matched outfits in the dark is seen as stylish and avant garde (although not as bad as Sex in the City).
Bottom line is, I like it and have a season pass to record all the episodes.
